Dorian Green - Character Application Empty
PostSubject: Dorian Green - Character Application   Dorian Green - Character Application EmptySun Jun 29, 2014 5:36 pm

Name: Dorian Green

Alias(es):

Gender: Male

Age: Biologically 68 years old (born in 1946); Physically appears to be 19 (permanant, due to extended exposure to the Coin).

History: His whole life, Dorian has had an inquizical mind, always wanting to learn more. So, on his 18th birthday, he was given the chance to go with his mom on a "business trip". What ended up happenning was she got him an Object (The Coin), leaving him with a perfectly blended message of cryptic information of his potential and her unconditonal motherly love, and then proceeds to walk out of his life forever.

That was 50 years ago.

Since that day, he has clutched the Coin, migrating from country to country. He didn't know what exactly it was at the time, but it seems as if someone always wanted it. But he wasn't going to let his mother down.

He was broken long before he knew what situation he was in.

Just a few years ago, however, the one friend he managed to keep for a healthy ammount of time ended up in an asylum for some unknown reason that not even the doctors could give. An hour prior the cell was empty, and an hour later this guy was occupying it.

Dorian went to visit him, only to see scrawlings all over the walls and his friend laying on his side shaking in the fetal position. The scrawlings, seemingly random at first, actually had strange consistencies within them: the numbers 538 and 2,538, and the words Holders, End, Them, He, and Objects. He would say only one thing over and over again, though barely distinguishable through his babbling: they must never come together.

After some research on the numbers and phrases, he stumbled upon the instructions for The Holder of The End. He now had a basic understanding on what his prized and special Coin was. But he needed to know more, and this "Holder" was the only way he was going to learn more. After much internal debate, he went back to the asylum to meet its long-time resident.

All went according to the instructions, and he asked The End his now-infamous question. However, the vision did not break him. He did not recieve any of the ill effects the vision usually has on humans. Rather, he left the institution with a smirk, and the desire to learn more.

Much more...

Appearance: A lanky, average height young man with short brown hair and tired eyes. He has blue jeans and a strange white overshirt with zippers on the shoulder and bicep areas. They open and close on their own and function as "eyes" for "seeing" things elsewhere around the multiverses.

Personality: He will do anything to gain knowledge about the dark, secluded world that he lives in [well, even he has personal boundaries, but that's a story for another time Wink ]

He's an easy-going guy during conversation, but really, really odd while doing research (think BBC's Sherlock taking blowtorches to eyeballs on his spare time kind of weird.)

Unlike nearly every other Seeker, he's not very materialistic over the Objects. He merely studies them for a time, and trades it off for either valuable information or another Object to examine. It's unbelievable how he can still form understandable sentences even after all he's learned. The only possible "side-effects" of his obsessive behavior is a studdering problem and can't be found without a coffee or something sugary.

He's your to-go guy if you need to know anything about practically any of the Objects, Holders, induvidual Seekers, or even certain beings you may come across during your travels.

Objects: The Coin of Indecision (2013), the Pendant that forces the Holders to obey any command withought question (557), the Speed (32), and the Immortality of Centuries (170). He had the White King's Sword (45) for a skim period of time, but Balance clearly had a better reason for having it.
... He still owes him a replacement .

Weapons: The Eyes can be used to cause detrimental mental harm by projecting a vision into their mind, if they aren't expecting it (which is practically every time).

Abilities: The zippers of his shirt (as well as the ones molded into his body), to which he only refers to as "The Eyes", can see anything he so desires. And this is not limited to physical visuals: thoughts, potential futures, etc. He can see multiple "visions" simultaneously, but that needs the equivelant ammount of concentration as a meditative state (empty headed). If not, they can give him a ungodly migrain for a conciderable amount of time.

The Eyes can also make zippers in time and space that he can walk into to teleport or chronowarp as he pleases.
