Age: Easily over two thousand.
History: Praetorious knows little about his past. He was once an average person who in ancient times stumbled upon the Objects. However, Edo Edi Essum consumed the only person he'd ever loved, setting in motion a chain of events that would eventually lead to him becoming a close contender for Legion's title, and later Essum's slave. After discovering this, Praetorious regained control of his body, forcing Essum into the open to fight Balance. Praetorious dropped off the radar, becoming a serial killer.
Appearance: Praetorious himself has rather unkempt black hair that falls almost to his shoulders. He has a hole about six inches in diameter in the center of his chest that once housed Edo Edi Essum. His skin is slightly more pale than the average human's, and he has no fingerprints. His left hand has been stripped of flesh and muscle, although the bones remain connected to one another. His eyes have gold irises and black sclera.
Praetorious' "work clothes" consist of a dark metallic grey button-up shirt and dark jeans. He wears a black glove over his left hand to hide the fact that there's no skin on it, and he wears special contact lenses that make his eyes appear normal.
Personality: Cold and calculating, Praetorious rarely feels emotion (save for annoyance) except when he kills. He is deeply nihilistic, constantly plagued by an ever-present sense of futility. Deeply insane, Praetorious compartmentalizes his own thoughts, maintaining a delicate balance between the objectives he hopes to achieve, his real motives, and his knowledge of both the precedings' futility. He is highly intelligent, having superior memorization and improvisation skills. He is able to learn any skill very quickly. He's also occasionally rather sarcastic.
Objects: The Cup of Emptiness, which he keeps around solely to store rare or hard-to-come-by chemicals.
Weapons: Although abnormally fast and strong, Praetorious lacks real finesse in combat. As such, he tends to shy away from it, preferring instead to use various toxins, surgical equipment, and his intellect to defeat his enemies.
Abilities: Superior mental prowess. Also, since Praetorious' blood no longer circulates (he has no heart), cannot be paralyzed (he's missing part of his spinal chord and still functions), and only feels extreme pain (many of his nerves have burned out), it is nigh-impossible to cause him to die from shock. If an injury is not instantly fatal, there's very little chance that it will be at all.
