Argyle awoke with a jump; as soon as his conscious mind awoke it registered the searing pain in his leg. It was worse now... it was like the infection had died down a little yesterday, before returning full force out of revenge. He gritted his teeth and sat up, the morning sun filtering through the shades.
He needed antibiotics... powerful ones.
Oh right. The circus was today. He swung his legs over the side of the bed, his left foot tapping against his cane, which he picked up and used to hoist himself to his feet. The hyper girl had invited him to the circus, and the girl was nice enough that he had a very small predilection to accept the invitation, but...
The man with the powerful words. The two of them had been very close. If the man could really snare someone's consciousness just by spinning a few words, then the circus girl appeared to be a clear target. He talked to her the most out of any of them there. Weighing those factors, he had to hope that he was more interested in her than Argyle. If he would be anywhere, it would be at the circus. He hoped.
Screw the circus. That girl was annoying anyway, and he's rather not be sucked in by the other man's words. He still needed more information.
The other two were still interesting. He felt something in the man with gold irises that was akin to him... The way piercing eyes that seemed to always be reading information, and his quiet demeanor. He still didn't know if he was friend or foe, but in comparison to the dangerous man, he was practically a brother.
If he were able to find them, then they could get something done. But, he had no idea where they were. He could always try going back to the library. He wanted to get on the computers to check some Seeker forums anyway.
There was still the chance that the dangerous man would be waiting at the library as well, but between that and the circus, he was willing to wager on the circus. Just in case, he removed his handguns once again from the drawer and tucked them into his pants. He always kept himself armed, just in case. And today, it would be even more important.
He limped out of his room, ritually locking it behind him once more before he walked for the exit. As he winced in pain, he reminded himself of the antibiotics... The only place he would get them would be at a clinic, but still didn't want to attract attention. He would wait just a little longer... First came the information.
