"Why didn't you say some magic words and make them go away? Jack said that the girl was an idiot and her boyfriend didn't look to bright, either."

"The girl is... resistant. And the man is locked away from me. I fear I must do this the old fashioned way."

"The great persuader might actually need to do some persuading? Shocking."

"Laugh all you like, in a few days they'll have crumbled like everyone else. Besides, I, at least, gathered a new member to my Order. Have you accoplished anything?"

"Bet your ass I did. I even got some work done one your half of the job."

Mr. Filth removed fairly large metal box from his pack. He sneered at Lucas.

"The Gun. And, of course, this."

He removed a newspaper clipping from his back pocket.

The actricle said something about a gun fight and a man in a zombie costume.

A man with no mouth.

Lucas examined the article more throughly, noteing that the description of the gunman matched roughly that of that red haired man.

That was why it hadn't been working.

He'd have to try harder.
